The Life without Passion
W.Shakespeare
THEY that have power to hurt, and will do none,
That do not do the thing they most do show,
Who, moving others, are themselves as stone,
Unmovèd, cold, and to temptation slow,—
They rightly do inherit heaven's graces,
And husband nature's riches from expense;
They are the lords and owners of their faces,
Others, but stewards of their excellence.
The summer's flower is to the summer sweet,
Though to itself it only live and die;
But if that flower with base infection meet,
The basest weed outbraves his dignity:
For sweetest things turn sourest by their deeds;
Lilies that fester smell far worse than weeds.

I LOVE YOU, DEAR
Don't now why but been feeling kinda sappy these couple of days. Being tired and all from overworking...I would just lie down in bed at night and reminisce.
Thinking back about the past few years made me realise that I'm actually much stronger than I allow myself to think. Stronger not physically but emotionally.
At 18, where girls my age were starting to have serious relationships, I had my 1st boy, Raul. Even now it amazes me as to how I managed to take care of my Baby when I myself needed taking care of. Add a Hubby to that to. Somehow it all turned out well.
The 6yr old boy smiling happily before my eyes is the testament to how I had defied all odds.
No marriage is without ups and downs including mine. We had a rocky start no doubt but never underestimate the power of strong will. Lucky for me, the love of my life has always been there to catch me when I fall and to give me the courage to go on.
We've had our share of fights, our share of tears and our share of hardship but all these have actually made us stronger. It is also a reminder to the present US that we've been through so much together and that we are the only ones who will really be there should one of us falter.
Of course we will never forget our share of laughter and joy. The joy when we held our babies in our arms, the laughter when we crack our silly jokes.
Darling, you may have your flaws and your mood swing, but so do I. I may not say this to you, but from the bottom of my heart, I really appreciate all the things that you've done for me. Thank you, baby.
Thank you not for the luxuries in life nor the diamonds that you've bought.
But thank you for always keeping half a portion of whatever you ate outside just 'cos you feel that it's delish and that I should have it too. It shows that you care.
Thank you for always nagging at me to sleep early when I have work the next day. It shows that you care.
Thank you for always saying all those silly things when I'm down. It shows that you care.
Most of all, Thank You for simply being YOU.
The course of true love never did run smooth and I know that it still won't till the day that I die. At least there is that special someone who will share the journey with me.
I LOVE YOU, DEAR
Amin.

Italian Anyone?
Here I am a quarter past midnight, blogging away whilst baking lasagne at the same time. I know, its kinda weird to be baking lasagne at this unGodly hour. Felt like it anyway..so sue me. Burnt my finger too...shucks.
I love pasta so no matter when...if the craving creeps up...I will be inside my kitch to satisfy my craving. My kitchen is well stocked with all thing Italian. Mozarella-check. Fussili-check. Thyme-check.Basil-check.
Somehow I rather dislike cooking "traditional" dishes. Assam fish, curry and all things traditional is just not my cup of tea. This isn't to say that my cooking of these dishes is awful, ok. My hubby is my No. 1 fan of the 'Lemak Cili Padi'. My mother-in-law loves my Beef Curry. And my colleagues likes my Chicken Curry too (I tink, if not they wouln't be badgering me to cook for them)
I dont' mind not having to eat rice for a couple of days but Hubby Dear will die if he miss his rice meal for a day. So, being the dutiful(ehemm) wife that I am, I still cook for Hubby his fav. dishes almost everyday.
And as always..I'm digressing a bit here. I WANT TO SELL CARS!! LOL.
A couple of weeks back, I had a customer who's a car salesman. The pay is like $8k, which is half of mine!! From the looks of it, my customer don't seem to know much 'bout cars plus she's worked there for only 6 mths. So why not me???
Let me ponder 'bout this piece of info while enjoying my Lasagne. Ciao.
